In flights, the seats that are costlier are called “business class”. I never thought much about it. “Business class” tickets are costlier. The ones who can afford such tickets are the people who are into business. Going by this, we should have understood that you get richness by being in business and doing business.
On the corollary, doing any amount of hard work in fixed jobs may give you very less returns! You can never make a fortune through fixed jobs. Maybe you could get great financial freedom by being in very high paying companies. For this, you must have got educated in big / elite institutions and have started with a big package. Or worked really hard in your younger days to reach the top.
While in a fixed job, you can plan a lot, work really hard to hit the target of a higher salary. But you should know that your employer is also strategising very well to keep your salary at the same level. So you don’t really have that privilege or bargaining power to ask for a better pay. You should know it’s a game where the employer wins all the time. And the employee is given an impression / illusion of winning once in a while to retain him in the same fixed job.
