Leaving for no reason or for a reason

I follow many upcoming singers. One such singer was a part of a collective band. And after this singer’s solo song reels went viral, this singer decided to leave the band. Many months later, she addressed it indirectly, saying that she’s no more a part of this band. The singer is Sunidhi Ganesh. She’s a good singer. She’s done a few songs for movies too.

Now it seems that the band was not happy about her leaving. But she wanted to leave. What was the reason? Though she never said it, I feel it’s because “probably”  she grew bigger than the band and now she wanted to go independent. Fine. But it looks like her former band was not happy with this decision.

They didn’t have a fight for this departure to happen. There was no  reason for her to leave. Or can I say, she had a reason: she wanted to go independent. But then, was it justified? Don’t know.

Even there’s a phase in AR Rahman’s life where he leaves his hand and decides to go alone. This decision is influenced by his mother. One of the former band members recollects that he didn’t meet them. And he even refused to give back one cassette where they had recorded a few tracks. Some bitter things there! I would say leaving the band was fine. But he had to explain them and face them. And return the cassette. Because the cassette was a collective effort.

Anyway, people may move on without having any fights. For no reason. Or for the reason that they wish to grow independently or with someone else. That may not be fine. But you should accept it!
